Daniel Dunglas Home (pronounced 'Hume') ( March 20 1833- June 21 1886 ) was a Scottish medium with the ability to levitate to a variety of heights, speak with the dead, and to produce rapping and knocks in houses at will.
Home was never caught at fraud, leading to a variety of speculations of his so-called cheating methods. James Randi falsely accused him of possessing one octave mouth organs to produce sounds. This claim was shown to be an outright lie.
